Arguably the FIRST EVER person to put Keral's name on the national quizzing map by becoming the runner-up at Sidhartha Basu's popular QUIZTIME (I don't remember the year - late 80s) along with AnilKumar. A banker by profession & holder of MBA from XLRI, he was very strong in English literature, films, language, trivia etc. His weaknesses were sports, audio & Malayalam, which were more than well compensated by Anil... I don't know his whereabouts now, might not ba a bad idea to make him a patron...
Ranjan and I along with Sankar represented Loyola. I remember watching Ranjan on QT, it might have been in 87, I think.
Yes, he had no interest in sports at all and was quite the communist too!
One of the best I have ever seen. He was doing his last year of post graduation in St. Thomas college when I joined there.I could never partner him- fortunately for him and unfortunately for me. I suspect he is in some corner of Gujarat ( last heard was in vapi with SBI.
