Requesting to add Messers. Roshith Mohan's name too. Convincing him to fill in details is another story altogether. Do first check whether he is alive and healthy in those ghastly environs of Ahmedabad (with his competency levels :)), before requesting the same.

(I understand ppl are not quite jobless as I am. Hence the empty (no pun, 'fcourse) profiles, wot?)

@ arun

this isnt a case of forgetting people! We are in the process of building this up. Since we are starting from zero, such omissions are natural. Once people like you start providing more profiles, we'll have a decent coverage.

many of the upcoming quizzers are not featured here. We should wait till they prove themselves as regulars in the quizzing circuit.(Note: the emphasis is on regular quizzers and not necessarily on regular winners.)

John and JK can be considered as regular quizzers in my opinion..JK have been in the field frm his school days itself specialized in sports..Participated in prestigious ESPN Qz of Harsha Bhogle..
For the last 3 years they r regular players in and around Kerala..

I was an active quizzer in 1989- 1992 and had the privilege of partnering Harikrishnan Menon. Some of my peers were fantastic - Hari of course , Girish and Sudeep of Trichur Engineering College, Ranjan Sridharan, Sandeep Sreekumar and Reuben Abraham , Dr Rakesh and Rajesh of Tvm Medical College , Gayatri Khanolkar..
Hope to see them all some day

Saratchandran PC, according to a memorable quote from CK Suresh was the 'Bheeshma Pithamaha' of Calicut quizzing. Luckily for us we very rarely had to face him as rivals because he had graduated to being quiz master by the time my generation entered the scene. His knowledge base was vast. Along with his contemporary Nagesh, this duo would have to be among the all-time great dream teams. I was the proud inheritor of Sarat's "notes" which consisted of several 100 typewritten pages of originally researched questions and answers.

I was never an active quizzer (mugging uo was no fun) but this post brings back a lot of memories.
The earliest quiz I remeber attending (not participating) was when I was around 11-12 years old kid and the venue was at the Medical College TVM. I think it was called Chandrika Devi memorial My dad was the quiz master!!! Then came DD Trivandrum's first quiz called ASK ME ANOTHER.Again Dad had the prvilege to host the show. Shortly afterwords went to TRV Govt Arts and ACERS. The first session I attended at ACERS made me realise that despite all the access to info and more avaiable at home (house was full of Dads quiz books),I would be no match for the likes of Radhesh, Rajesh et all. But that was the start of a long continuing friendship with Professor Vijayakumar.

However quizzing still remains a passion , no doubt helped by the fact for many many years I used to prepare the Sports and Travel sectionsfor Dads quizzess

THe one quiz I still miss was Harsha Bhogles ESPN school sports quiz!!! THe questions were all off very hig standards.

THanks for allowing me to share my thoughts. As i said quizzing will always remain a passion.

NB: In case you have not relaised I am the (elder) son of late Dr Soman
